An adventure through the Atacama...

The surroundings of Iquique where and probably still are very rich of nitrate. But since it is produced synthetically such places are deserted.

A view kilometers on the desert is very impressive and we visited the Cerro Unitas which is home to the larges Geoglyph of the world (as it is said in our Guidbook...).

And here it is the Gigante de Atacama. With 86m length it is visible from the Panamerikana which is around 13km away.

We three; f.l.t.r. Raphaïlle, Xabie and Konni; stay on the foot of the Gigante...

With the rental car we could explore the wilderness very well.

A building site in the desert. We guessed that these two were quite happy that they were not allone.

The first Llama we saw just next to the roadsite. Most of them were domesticated.
